16 cups of water
1 Cup borax
1 Cup wash soda
1 Cup Castile soap
Essential oil are optional to use.
Step 1
Make sure you bring 8 cups of water to a simmer. While the water is boiling Add 1 cup of borax, and 1 cup of washing soda into a bucket or jug of a large size. Mix it well.
Step 2
Pour in one cup of liquid Castile soap Then add 8 cups boiling water, and mix well until it dissolves all of the ingredients.
Step 3
When it's all well-mixed and all the ingredients are fully dissolved, add an additional 8 cups of water that is cold and mix once more.
Step 4
Now, it is possible to add essential oils, if you would like. I would recommend adding about 50 drops before mixing all the ingredients once more.
Step 5
Allow your laundry detergent to sit until it cools down to the temperature of room. It will vary in temperature. it might remain liquid, or may condense to an opaque white consistency.
Step 6
To use, add approximately 14 cups of soap to each load of laundry. You can add more or less detergent according to the load of laundry.

Tips
Cover your hands and eyes well. Because the ingredients of these products contain chemicals, which can irritate the eyes and skin.
